Araghchi Appreciates Turkey's Firm Stance on Iran's Territorial Integrity

Ankara's Stand Against Separatist Plans

Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Foreign Minister, in an interview with regional media, expressed his appreciation for Turkey's vital and "highly effective" role in preserving Iran's territorial integrity. According to T24 media, Araghchi revealed that during recent conflicts and military tensions with Israel, extensive plans had been designed to partition Iran and create internal chaos [1]. He emphasized that the Turkish government not only stood firm against these pressures but also prevented the advancement of these conspiracies through continuous consultations with American officials.

Araghchi stated: "Turkey played a very key role in this process. They spoke with the Americans and held a very firm position regarding the preservation of Iran's territorial integrity. These collective efforts caused the conspiracy to partition Iran and create internal unrest to fail" [1].

Phone Diplomacy and Shared Border Security

The Iranian Foreign Minister also detailed his diplomatic contacts during the critical days. He stated that on the fourth day of the conflicts, after receiving reports of meetings between American officials and certain leaders in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, he immediately made phone calls to Hakan Fidan, Turkey's Foreign Minister, as well as senior Iraqi and Kurdistan Region officials [1].

Araghchi warned in a firm tone that Iran would not remain indifferent to any threat originating from the Kurdistan Region. He stated: "We belong to every inch of this land and will defend the country from north to south and east to west" [3]. These remarks indicate a high level of security coordination between Tehran and Ankara to prevent separatist groups from exploiting potential security gaps.

Strategic Cooperation in the Shadow of Regional Crisis

While tensions in the region have intensified due to infrastructure attacks and naval clashes in the Strait of Hormuz, Turkey continues to emphasize the need to return to the negotiating table and revive diplomatic agreements between Iran and the United States [2]. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan recently noted during his meetings in Qatar that Ankara is coordinating closely with Doha to resolve ongoing crises and considers Iran's stability as part of the security of the entire region [4].

Araghchi also described relations with Turkey as a barrier against imposed instability, emphasizing that Iran does not seek war but will respond powerfully to any aggression [1].
