International Students Graduation Ceremony in Zonguldak, Turkey

Ceremony Held at Farabi Campus of Bulent Ecevit University The graduation ceremony for international students of Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University (BEUN) for the 2025-2026 academic year was held at the Dr. Ali Arslan Conference Hall located on the Farabi Campus. The ceremony, attended by a wide range of university officials including Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Şenol Hakan Kutoğlu and Prof. Dr. Servet Karasu, as well as the Secretary General Prof. Dr. Zehra Safi Öz, was a symbol of cultural solidarity and academic success for students from different geographies of the world. Student Performances; From Poetry Recitation to Theater One of the most attractive parts of the ceremony was the performance of cultural and artistic programs by the students themselves. Demonstrating their mastery of the Turkish language, international students recited poems by prominent Turkish poets such as Rüştü Onur, Cahit Sıtkı Tarancı, Yahya Kemal Beyatlı, and Orhan Veli Kanık, which were met with continuous applause. [2] Additionally, a theater play titled "Cities Speak" and a performance by the traditional Turkish music choir by the students added a special flair to the event. The screening of a graduation clip titled "Yeniden Başla" (Start Again), which depicted the memories of the students' one-year education, created emotional and passionate moments in the hall. [1][4]

Speeches by Officials and Emphasis on Cultural Bonds Dr. Ali Yumurtacı, Director of the Karaelmas Turkish Language Teaching Center (TOMER), expressed his satisfaction with the students' success in his speech, emphasizing that these young people have not only learned a new language but have also become acquainted with the culture and lifestyle of the Turkish people. He noted that these students will now act as bridges of friendship between cultures. [2] Furthermore, the support of Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer, the Rector of the university, towards strengthening the university's international capacity and attracting foreign students was appreciated. Beginning of a New Chapter in the Academic Path At the end of the ceremony, students celebrated the successful completion of their language course by receiving their symbolic diplomas and throwing their graduation caps into the air. These students, who have now reached a desirable level of Turkish language proficiency, are ready to begin their undergraduate and graduate studies in various fields at Bulent Ecevit University starting from September 2026.
