The Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) has solidified its position as one of Turkey's top 14 institutions in international skill development by obtaining the prestigious Erasmus+ accreditation in the field of vocational education.

In a historic achievement, the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) has successfully received the European Union's Erasmus+ program accreditation for the 2021-2027 period. By passing rigorous evaluation stages, this institution is now ranked among Turkey's leading organizations in the field of Vocational Education and Training (VET) [1]. This success represents a step forward not only for the Kütahya region but also for the educational standards of the entire country.

KUTSO's Distinguished Position at the National Level During the accreditation process managed by the Turkish National Agency, a total of 144 institutions and organizations from across the country submitted their applications. KUTSO succeeded in being included in the list of the top 14 accepted entities by achieving the necessary scores [2]. It is noteworthy that since 2020, only four chambers of commerce and industry across Turkey have managed to receive this level of accreditation, demonstrating the high quality of international project management within this organization [1][3].

Project Details and International Opportunities for Students This accreditation, known by the code KA120-VET, paves the way for the exchange of knowledge and experience between Turkey and European countries. According to the plans made under the leadership of the KUTSO consortium, a total of 48 students from vocational and technical high schools in the region will have the opportunity to complete their internships in prestigious European companies [2]. This practical experience in international industrial environments helps students align their skills with modern global standards and be better prepared to enter the labor market.

Enhancing the Academic Level of Teachers and Educational Staff In addition to students, a significant part of this project is dedicated to the professional development of educational staff. According to published reports, 22 vocational and technical subject teachers will be sent to Europe to participate in specialized training courses [1]. The goal of this mobilization is to familiarize teachers with modern teaching methods and new technologies in European industries so that, upon their return, they can transfer this knowledge to the local educational system. This educational cycle ensures that the link between education and employment in Kütahya province is strengthened in a sustainable and modern way [3].

Consortium Collaborations and Future Outlook KUTSO's success is the result of cohesive group cooperation. This consortium includes important educational centers such as the KUTSO Vocational and Technical High School, Atatürk Vocational and Technical High School, and the TOBB Kütahya OSB Vocational and Technical High School [2]. This strategic collaboration between the industrial and educational sectors ensures that Erasmus+ projects are designed and implemented exactly according to the real needs of the labor market. With this accreditation, KUTSO will continuously benefit from European Union financial support for international mobility projects until 2027, promising a major transformation in the region's industrial and educational ecosystem.

Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) is now one of the top four chambers of commerce in Turkey in the field of Erasmus+ accreditation.
