With the holding of evaluation and planning meetings in Osmaniye province, more than 170 participants are preparing to benefit from new Erasmus+ opportunities in 2026, which will create a major transformation in regional education and professional skills.
Evaluation of Past Successes and the 2026 Roadmap According to an exclusive report by "Hasret Gazetesi" (Hasret Newspaper), the Osmaniye Provincial Directorate of National Education held important meetings to review the results of Erasmus+ projects for 2024 and 2025 and to formulate strategies for 2026 [1]. These sessions, held at the Osmaniye "Öğretmenevi" (Teachers' House), hosted teachers and students who had returned from their international experiences in European countries. The main goal of these meetings is to transfer the acquired knowledge to the local education system and prepare the infrastructure for the new 2026 calls.
Focus on School Education and Technical Skills In the school education sector (KA121), approximately 130 participants who took part in job shadowing and group student mobility activities across Europe shared their experiences [1]. These programs have had a direct impact on improving teaching methods and increasing student motivation. Additionally, in the vocational education and training sector, 46 teachers and students who attended international internships emphasized the importance of European standards in enhancing professional skills. The planning indicates that in 2026, there will be a special focus on digital skills and European citizenship [1].
International Projects and Hosting European Countries Osmaniye is not just a sender but has become an important destination for joint projects. The "Let's Haste No Waste" project, managed by Osmaniye TOBB Science High School, recently hosted representatives from six countries: France, Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, and Portugal [3]. These collaborations, which focus on environmental issues and sustainability, have strengthened Osmaniye's position on the European educational map and paved the way for larger projects in 2026.
University and Graduate Opportunities Osmaniye Korkut Ata University (OKÜ), in step with national education, has published new calls for the 2026-2027 academic year [2]. In addition to student exchange programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, the university has provided special opportunities for doctoral students to conduct short-term research at partner universities. According to the academic calendar, the evaluation and orientation process for new applicants will conclude in June 2026, and new departures will begin in October 2026 [2].
