Crucial e-TEP and DGS Exams to be Held in Turkey This Weekend

According to the official statement issued by the Assessment, Selection and Placement Center of Turkey (ÖSYM), this weekend will see the administration of two major national exams. These exams, which include assessments of English language proficiency and academic abilities for associate degree graduates, will be conducted in testing centers across Turkey and Northern Cyprus [1].

Electronic English Proficiency Test (e-TEP) on Saturday The e-TEP 2026/3 exam, known as the Electronic English Proficiency Test, is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026. This exam will be administered at ÖSYM electronic testing centers in the cities of Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, and Adana. According to reports, 566 candidates have registered for this session, competing in 17 separate halls [5].

This exam consists of four main sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. According to the announced rules, the exam begins at 13:45, but candidates must note that they will not be allowed to enter the exam buildings after 13:30 [1]. The results of this exam, designed for academic and professional purposes at B1, B2, and C1 levels, will be announced on August 18, 2026 [3].

Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS); The Big Marathon on Sunday On Sunday, July 19, 2026, it will be time for the DGS exam, which is one of the most important tests for associate degree students to enter bachelor's degree programs. This exam will be held in all 81 provinces of Turkey as well as in the city of Lefkoşa (Nicosia) in Northern Cyprus. In this term, 239,681 candidates will compete across 103 testing centers [1][5].

The DGS exam consists of 100 questions, divided equally between quantitative (Mathematics) and verbal (Turkish) sections. Candidates will have 135 minutes to answer. The exam start time is announced as 10:15 AM, and the doors of the examination centers will close exactly at 10:00 AM [2].
