Electronic Foreign Language Exams (e-YDS) Held in Turkey with 7,361 Candidates

The Assessment, Selection and Placement Center of Turkey (ÖSYM) is preparing to hold two important language exams in electronic format during the last weekend of June. According to the official statement of the organization, the e-YDS 2026/6 and e-YDS 2026/7 exams will be held in electronic exam centers in the cities of Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, and Adana [1][3].

Schedule and Exam Languages Details According to the planning announced by Bayram Ali Ersoy, President of ÖSYM, the e-YDS 2026/6 for the English language will be held on Saturday, June 27. Additionally, the e-YDS 2026/7 for Arabic and Russian languages is scheduled for Sunday, June 28 [2]. Both exams will start at 13:45 local time, and candidates will only be allowed to enter the exam centers until 13:30 [1].

Candidate Statistics and Exam Venues A total of 7,361 candidates have registered for these two exams. The details of the participants are as follows: * English Language: 5,321 candidates in 47 exam halls. * Arabic Language: 1,538 candidates. * Russian Language: 502 candidates.

A total of 22 halls have been designated for the Arabic and Russian exams [3]. It was also announced that 392 personnel, including administrative staff and security forces, are responsible for maintaining order and security for these exams [1].

Exam Structure and Results Announcement The e-YDS exam consists of 80 multiple-choice questions, and candidates have 180 minutes (3 hours) to answer. For candidates with special conditions or disabilities, an additional 30 minutes have been allocated [3]. One of the biggest advantages of ÖSYM's electronic exams is the high speed of grading and result announcement; thus, the candidates' results will be published on the same day the exam is held [1][2].

Facilities for Special Candidates The President of ÖSYM emphasized that necessary arrangements have been made for 15 candidates with disabilities in the exam centers. Furthermore, according to support laws, 62 candidates, including veterans and the children and spouses of martyrs and veterans, have been exempted from paying registration fees [1]. Candidates who have lost their identification cards can visit the civil registry offices, which will be open on duty during the exam days [3].
