Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ) has launched a new chapter of educational transformation in July 2026, introducing innovative AI-based departments and achieving global rankings to prepare students for the future job market.

Isparta University of Applied Sciences (ISUBÜ), under the management of Rector Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Çatal, has taken strategic steps to keep pace with global digital transformations. Recognized as one of Turkey's leading institutions in vocational and skill-based education, the university recently announced a series of academic and administrative achievements that highlight its vision for the coming years [1].

Introduction of 7 New Departments in Emerging Technologies The Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has officially approved ISUBÜ's request to launch 7 new departments and programs for the 2026-2027 academic year. These programs, designed with a focus on "jobs of the future," include Computer Engineering in English at the Faculty of Technology and specialized programs at the Isparta Vocational School of Information Technologies. Key programs include "Artificial Intelligence Operation," "Video Game Development and Programming," and "Big Data Analytics" [4]. According to Rector Çatal, this move aims to provide specialized human resources for digital transformation and respond to strategic industrial needs [1].

Success in International Rankings and Scientific Diplomacy Alongside departmental expansion, ISUBÜ successfully entered the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (THE Impact Rankings 2026) for the first time. The university ranked 301-400 globally in the "Life on Land" index and 401-600 in the "Zero Hunger" index, demonstrating its commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals [2]. Furthermore, in the field of international cooperation, the university finalized a protocol with Tashkent State Agrarian University (Uzbekistan). This agreement includes 4 joint master's programs in agronomy and plant protection, allowing students to receive dual degrees recognized in both countries [3].

Development of Modern Welfare and Sports Infrastructure Isparta University is not only focusing on academic aspects but also enhancing the student experience. According to recent reports, a dedicated space on campus has been allocated for the construction of an "E-sports Center" and a "Youth Office." This center will be equipped in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Turkey to provide a platform for modern sporting and social activities for students [1]. These comprehensive measures have made ISUBÜ one of the most attractive educational destinations for the new generation of students in the Mediterranean region.
